Depression

At times we all feel sad, flat or low. Some people experience these feelings intensely, for long periods of time and sometimes without any apparent reason. Depression can become a serious condition that affects your physical and mental health. Many factors may contribute to depression including specific life events, a pervasive feeling of isolation/loneliness, lowered self-esteem, inability to cope/personal failure or there may be a family history of depression. It is important to determine what type of depression an individual is experiencing at any point in time to ensure the most effective therapy/support.
