Grief and Loss

Grief is a natural response to loss. It’s the emotional suffering you feel when something or someone you love is taken away. Often, the pain of loss can feel overwhelming. There are 7 well-known stages of grieving which include: shock/denial (disbelief and numbed feelings), pain and guilt, anger and bargaining, depression and profound sadness, the upward turn (sometimes felt as moments of relief/joy), reconstruction/reconciliation and finally acceptance and hope. Everyone has to work through their own grief response at their own pace and it is not something that can be rushed through.¬†Nicole has supported many individuals through this painful process and has directly observed the transformative changes of each stage of the grief cycle.
